Nick Woodmansey

Forensic & Valuations Director
Nicholas Woodmansey - Corporate Finance Director

Meet Nick Woodmansey

Nick is a director specialising in corporate finance transactions and forensic cases. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Chartered Tax Adviser.

Nick has successfully negotiated over 100 transactions from both sides in a variety of sectors. Nick is often intrinsically involved in finding a way to “get the deal done” while ensuring his client gets what they want from a transaction. This is achieved through recognising value and good communication between the parties. This is particularly the case for transactions involving earn outs, and Nick has guided both acquirers and sellers for a range of entities from management shareholders to listed foreign companies on the pits falls and potentials of earn outs in share transactions.

Nick has worked closely with Stuart Cowen, forensic partner, on a number significant commercial loss claims and professional negligence cases. In addition he specialises in corporate valuations for matrimonial, disputes and value advisory. His valuation speciality also encompasses intangible valuations, growth shares and other forward looking valuation models.

Nick also advises a number of rural landed estates in the South West on accounts, tax planning, trust structures and succession planning.

Prior to joining PKF Francis Clark, Nick used his manufacturing degree from Cambridge University to run a product design company including developing a patented product for the rapid deployment of surveillance systems in an urban environment. In 2011 Nick took a year’s sabbatical to live and work in New Zealand, where he worked as a yacht broker in the City of Sails, Auckland, selling new and used Beneteau sailing yachts and Azimut motor cruisers.
