Jeremy Richards

Jeremy has over 20 years’ commercial banking and corporate finance experience, helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid/large corporate clients in a wide range of sectors.

Having started his finance career as a management trainee at Midland Bank (now HSBC), he moved into corporate finance, leading on deal origination within two top 10 accountancy firms, where he created opportunities for advisory teams across M&A, company sales, MBOs and fundraising.

Jeremy returned to corporate banking for nine years as a relationship/business development director at RBS and then Lloyds, covering the Thames Valley and South region and working predominantly with mid/large corporates, before co-founding an independent debt broking and advisory business which had a very successful four years advising SMEs on fundraising and refinance.

Jeremy joined PKF Francis Clark in 2022 and brings a breadth of commercial funding expertise to give our clients the best chance of securing the right type of funding for their needs. This depth of knowledge is across the whole market, including the multitude of banks and alternative lenders, and includes funding solutions for property and development finance, asset-based lending, growth and working capital funding, hire purchase and leasing.

Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family and is now far more content observing than competing in sport, particularly football – as a longstanding Southampton season ticket holder – and cricket, as manager of his local Under-15 Colts team and a follower of Hampshire. Once he has some more time to himself, somewhere at the back of a drawer lies a pilot’s license that he has promised himself he will dust off and get in the sky again.
