David Armstrong

Dave started working in corporate finance with a ‘Big 4’ firm in the mid-1990’s, focusing on helping businesses secure the optimal amount of grant funding towards their future plans.
Since joining PKF Francis Clark in 2009, Dave has concentrated on advising companies on a wide range of corporate finance transactions, focusing on helping shareholders achieve a successful exit, securing funds from a variety of sources to ensure transactions proceed and helping clients with acquisition searches.

He has experience of a wide range of sectors, but particularly in advising businesses in the engineering and food and drink sectors, two of the most active sectors for transactions in the region. He brings his experience from a wide range of transactions and sectors to each client he works with.

Dave’s recent relevant experience includes advising on the acquisitions of a meat processing business and a fishing company, due diligence on behalf of YFM Private Equity and their investment in Friska, and advising on the sales of Gillett’s Callington to Appleby Westward and Securi-Guard (South West Limited) to French-owned Scutum.

Dave is a Chartered Accountant with a degree in Economics & Accounting. In his spare time Dave has replaced his football boots with running shoes, plays the occasional round of golf and can usually be found attached to a surfboard.
