Regional chartered accountants and business advisers, PKF Francis Clark is celebrating yet another impressive award, after Corporate Finance Senior Associate, Chris Bishop was announced ‘Emerging Dealmaker of the Year’ in the prestigious South West Insider’s Dealmakers Awards 2019.
The significant awards recognise and reward the wealth of talent in the region’s professional services sector and celebrate the success achieved by dealmakers in the South West over the past 12 months.
Chris Bishop joined the firm’s Corporate Finance team, the largest and most active deal making team in the region, in 2014 and has extensive experience across company acquisitions and disposals, raising finance, due diligence, business planning and complex financial modelling. Chris has been a key asset to a number of deals over the past 12 months including advising on the sale of Herring Shoes to Pavers, the MBO of a South-West based wholesaler and on multiple acquisitions in the insurance sector by Global Risk Partners.
Chris was joined by the other talented corporate finance professionals in the region when he picked up his award at the Bristol Marriott Hotel on 27 June, with the judges announcing that they were impressed by the range of deals that Chris acted on and his contribution on those transactions.

PKF Francis Clark was also shortlisted in three other categories in the awards and has taken away the titles of Corporate Finance Advisory Team of the Year, Dealmaker of the Year and Young Dealmaker of the Year in previous years. In what is the firm’s centenary year, PKF Francis Clark are additionally celebrating their shortlisting for the Tax Team of the Year award at the British Accountancy Awards 2019 and being named as ‘Best Private Client of the Year’ at the Tolley’s Tax Awards 2019.
