EQUITY AND DEBT FUNDRAISING

AN INTERACTIVE CASE STUDY BASED WORKSHOP

Suitable for companies seeking expansion or development capital, owners seeking cash out or management teams considering a buyout…

PIECING THE FUNDING PUZZLE TOGETHER

Business owners and management teams often enter into transactions without knowing fully what they can involve, the fundamental differences between equity and debt funding requirements and what funders are looking for. There are also several alternatives to a trade sale and different ways to fund future expansion plans which are often not considered at the outset, but could provide beneficial outcomes.

Even if you are not considering a transaction in the immediate future, this workshop provides an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the transactional process to assist you in longer-term strategic planning.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

The event is suitable for business owners and managers contemplating a ‘transaction’ that will need funds for the following:

  • Acquisition
  • Management buyout
  • Expansion/development/growth capital
  • Extracting cash from a business
  • Or those considering alternatives to a trade sale

PROGRAMME

The workshop is designed to give participants a unique opportunity to work through a case study in a small group with:

Representatives from HSBC’s regional corporate team and transaction specialists
Representatives from the private equity investors active in the Bristol region
Experienced deal makers from the Corporate Finance team at PKF Francis Clark
Each group will discuss a wide range of issues introduced by a case study and, in doing so, cover the main equity and debt funding options currently available to SMEs and the alternatives to a trade sale.
